Ms. Sati Schiano most recently served as the Vice-President of People & Culture for Green Carbon Global.  She had responsibility for the overall Human Resources strategy, global talent acquisition, organizational design, compensation and benefits, payroll, HRIS and employee relations. 

 

In her previous role, she served as the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging lead for North American Partners in Anesthesia where she created and promoted the organization’s mission to maintain accountability and equity in their everyday business practices, attracting diverse talent to key positions, promoting service in diverse communities and building partnerships with minority-based schools and organizations throughout the United States.  She launched the Woman of NAPA development program, as well as implemented the Employee Assistance Fund during the pandemic crisis to aid employees on facing hardships.

 

Prior to joining NAPA, Ms. Schiano served as the Senior Regional lead for Mednax National Medical Group (American Anesthesiology and Pediatrix Medical Group) with responsibility for 6,700 employees in 23 states.  She established the organization’s scheduling platform, streamlining timekeeping and pay practices.  She transformed compensation structures and implemented savvy talent retention initiatives.  She was instrumental in structuring the Centers of Excellence shared services creating stronger collaboration among the business divisions.

 

Throughout her 18-year career, she has served in large, mid-size and small organizations with both unionized and non-unionized workforce.  She was instrumental in the Silver Airways acquisition of Gulf Stream Airlines and aided in the creation of a fully operational regional airline.  She served under the Labor Relations umbrella for the merger of Airborne Express with DHL Express, working closely with the Teamsters unions throughout the US.  She prides herself in always prioritizing the needs and work-life balance of the employees with fair and equitable practices.  

 

She is a strong advocate for social community responsibility and volunteers with the homeless and youth at risk populations.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of the West Indies and a Certificate in Accounting and Operations from Broward Technical College.
